There is also the possibility to save qrDecoder to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort and no previous installers.
What's more, the app does not create new entries in the Windows registry or Start menu, leaving the disk clean after removal.
The GUI is represented by a small window with a simple structure that shows all available options. An image file can be pointed out with the help of either the file browser or drag-and-drop support.
Batch processing is not supported, unfortunately, which means you are restricted to working with only one photo at a time. It can be decoded with a click of a button, after which you can copy it to the Clipboard just as easily. Apart from the fact that you can clear the image path to start from scratch, there are no other notable options here.
As expected, the utility has minimal impact on computer performance, thanks to low CPU and RAM consumption. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since qrDecoder did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Although it does not come equipped with rich features, the app gets the job done and can be used by anyone.
