This Modern UI application was specially made for devices running Windows 10, 8 and 8.1, as well as optimized for touch-supported systems. It can be downloaded and installed from the Windows Store with little effort, after which it can be pinned to your Start Screen or Menu for easy access.
The main window has a dark theme and shows the calculator at startup. It contains empty boxes for entering the original and discount amount, discount mode (reduce by % or dollar) and tax (%). Results show the total before and after tax).
In theory, you can enter the original amount, apply a discount amount or tax (or both), and click the "Calculate" button to learn the results. However, our tests have shown that the tax feature doesn't work properly.
Instead of increasing the original amount by the specified %, it actually decreases it. It's just like applying two discounts by reducing the original amount first and total before tax second.
If the discount amount field is left empty, then the total before tax field merely copies the original amount, and the total after tax box displays the discounted price.
Taking everything into account, Discount and Tax Calculator Serial was not properly coded by the developer, due to the fact that its tax feature actually works like a second discount. In this case, you can only use this app if you wish to apply two discounts to a specific amount of money. Another issue is that the dollar is the only currency supported by the app.
