JSON is a standard that derives from JavaScript and replaces the XML standard of webpages. This tool was built because Internet Explorer 10 was not able to show the contents of JSON files, but Internet Explorer 11 fixed this issue.

As the name of the program suggests, this is a file viewer only, meaning that it doesn't feature options for editing code and saving changes. Therefore, if you're looking for a JSON editor, you should resort to another application.
Json Viewer can be downloaded and installed from the Microsoft Store. It launches a large window with a yellow background, where you can click the burger button on the upper-left corner of the window and select App commands, or right-click anywhere on the background to be able to open a JSON file using the built-in file browser.
Also, you can open .json files by just double-clicking them in Windows Explorer because this file type is automatically associated with the program after installation.
The file contents are loaded in the main window right away, and the file's name is displayed in large text on top of the code. Syntax highlights are supported, so you can easily tell apart the blocks of code. Furthermore, you can click and drag to make a text selection and copy it to the Clipboard by right-clicking to select Copy, or by triggering the Ctrl+C key combination.
Unfortunately, Json Viewer Serial seems to have trouble loading files larger than 1MB. In our tests, it just shows the file's name and extension in the main window, without the contents. Also, it didn't show the Open File option after this step, forcing us to restart the app to open other .json files.
All things considered, Json Viewer aims to be a straightforward tool for opening .json files. Without taking into account the simplicity aspect toward features (no editing, printing or other options), the app still needs more work concerning compatibility with large files.
