SimplesCalendar, as you can probably tell from its name, is a digital calendar that allows you to schedule appointments, tasks or anything else you need to do on a given day. It has a strange layout, however, and it is fairly difficult to use.

Once you have launched the application, you can enable SingleClick mode, select a date and write up to three lines of text for that specific date. It is also possible to insert a time of day or preset lines from drop-down lists.
A placeholder (#) is used for each line of text that hasn’t been filled in, and it is important not to delete these symbols, as they will not be displayed when filtering the Jotter.
It can take a while for new users to get the hang of things, especially when it comes to inserting notes. Filtering them isn’t all that difficult, but the workflow just seems a bit more complicated than it should be.
For instance, you can’t just double-click a certain date to view all the notes that have been stored. Instead, you need to right-click on the calendar and either select the current day or another day of the week.
The user interface is not what we would call impressive, as it looks noticeably out-of-date. This may not be a big issue for some users, but it would certainly help if the application received a facelift.
All in all, SimplesCalendar Serial is certainly not one of the better calendar organizers we’ve seen, but it can still get the job done if you get used to its unusual layout. It is not packed with features, however, and the user interface is quite outdated as well.
