It lets you edit codec information regarding the compressor user, color depth and video quality, as well as open the program's directory without leaving its interface. The app is hidden from the taskbar and task manager.
The free edition doesn't leave much room for customization, though. If you want to access the full features, you have to purchase the complete edition, where it's possible to take screenshots at a regular time interval, encrypt videos and snapshots, restrict the access of other users by password-protecting Kahlown, pause and resume the screen recording when locking and unlocking the PC, set any output destination for saved files, and use the tool on multiple monitors.
