Throughout the program, there are multiple quick links to various Windows built-in tools, such as Explorer, Command Prompt, System Information and Media Player. While having all these options together might prove useful in a few remote cases, one can only wonder what benefits they yield when dealing with contacts addresses.
On a positive side, PC-Address32 features several skins that can be used to improve the looks of the application. Customized themes can also be imported. Although these changes do little to improve the functionality of the program, the looks can come alive under the right settings!
In a probable case of innovation gone bad, the software sports two languages: English and German. Of course, this in itself is not bad; but having these two languages combined and used simultaneously is bad and will baffle most users!
Some error messages are not in English and most tooltips are only intelligible to German speakers. Having support for multiple languages is clearly a plus, but not when the said languages are mixed together.
There also seem to be some stability issues, since the database becomes corrupt after only a few uses. This is most probably caused by the "Compress Database" option.
All in all, PC-Address32 Serial offers little and asks a lot. The price is quite hefty, more-so since the market is full with better programs. The good thing is that the interface, and all the customization options it allows, does not require any more work.
