After downloading and installing MoneyPlanner via the Windows Store, you're welcomed by a rudimentary-looking interface with a green background and four buttons for adding incomes and expenses, showing statistics, and resetting the memory.
To add a transaction, simply enter the value and click the corresponding category. You can choose between fixed and non-fixed income, fixed and non-fixed expenses, personal expenses, and alimentation costs. The values are immediately added to the statistics after clicking their appropriate categories.
As far as statistics are concerned, you can view quarterly expenses for each category (accumulated), along with overall incomes and expenses for the current year. Resetting the memory means clearing all fields in the statistics area to build your budget from scratch.
Besides the fact that you can take a screenshot of the visible content and share the picture using an external Modern UI program, there are no other notable options implemented by the developer.
Unfortunately, this budget planner has a limited set of features. The categories have generic names and it's not possible to create custom groups. On top of that, Euro is the only currency available. There are no customization preferences available for the interface, and the report isn't in-depth.
All things considered, MoneyPlanner Serial is a rather poor budget tracker that has little to offer. Users are better off looking for other financial applications with richer options and configuration settings.
