Launching it brings up a rather empty window. The design is simple, with a large text pad wrapped around a classic window frame, with no menus or buttons. In fact, it pretty much resembles a sticky note, and doesn’t take any of your time with accommodation. You can immediately start taking notes.
The window can be customized in terms of size, with text wrapping automatically to make everything clearly visible. A scroll bar appears to make this even more comfortable. There are no options related to text style and attributes, but this isn’t really a major inconvenience.
Quitting the program saves you work, so don’t worry if a save prompt doesn’t show up. You start from where you left off every time the program is launched. Unfortunately, there’s no possibility to save as a different document, even if you launch multiple instances of the application, and there isn’t even tab support for more documents.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Blackhat Notes Serial comes with good intentions, but isn’t really prepared to be a practical notes taking tool. Although it can provide a continuous way of storing ideas, you only a single slot, without the option to even save different documents.
