Thoughts is a simple application that takes a straightforward approach toward writing ideas. It's wrapped in a one-of-a-kind interface, where you can click a light bulb whenever you get a new idea, and write it in a notepad that looks like a cloud.
Actually, its key feature is represented by the Modern UI. It doesn't actually upload content to the cloud. Specifically designed for desktops, tablets, notebooks and laptops running Windows 8, 8.1 and 10, including touch-supported devices, Thoughts is a brainstorming tool that can be easily downloaded and installed from the Windows Store.
Once launched, you can click the light bulb to open a new cloud and type or paste text, then click the save button. It's possible to create as many clouds as you want.
You can explore all thoughts by scrolling the mouse wheel or by dragging the horizontal scrollbar, as well as open a cloud to view the complete note and how long ago it was created. Also, you can edit the note, delete it, or pin it to your Start Screen or Menu.
Unfortunately, the notes tool doesn't implement an options for copying all text to the clipboard or saving it to file. At most, you can open each cloud to select and copy its text, as well as take a screenshot of the visible content to send it to another one of your Modern UI apps with a saving function.
We've noticed that text is limited to 141 characters for each cloud, so any notes you write in this application have to be brief. Regrettably, Thoughts Serial crashed on Windows 10 in our tests after we attempted to pin notes to the Start Menu. Nevertheless, you can test it yourself.
