The utility uses the calculation that follows: ((Pages/ 4)-1)*thickness. The reason for the -1 in the middle of the calculation is because you don't need to shingle one of the spreads as it is the basis for all of the others. This is the same calculation used by Metrix.
This simple and efficient application allows you to view the shingle values for each spread.
