The app's interface isn't the user-friendliest layout available. Although not terribly complicated, it does offer you a bunch of extra options that are of immediate interest.

Most areas of the GUI are quite cluttered. Lots of options are jam-packed in each tab, many of them just regarding which pictures should be excluded or included in the download selection, and how many should be renamed or not. Maybe an experienced user might get used with this interface, but beginners will clearly feel a bit lost.

The EXIF metadata holds the basic background contextual information a camera will imprint in the photos it takes. Usually, the EXIF info contains the date, place, resolution, and camera model. However, not all cameras have these options integrated, so Stamp Serial will imprint this information automatically when it extracts the photos from your camera.

This way, the app allows you to choose which picture formats are ignored from stamping. You may check for valid DCF file names or for items that are system-based or hidden. It's worth saying that Stamp will extract videos using the same pattern as well.

Although not terribly more advanced than just simply copying and pasting whatever pictures users might have in their digital cameras, Stamp helps users get a permanent time mark in the picture’s EXIF files. This way, images will hold that info in the background no matter if they get edited or moved around. This helps you in case you plan to chronologically organize your picture folders.
