Installing it takes minimal time and effort, since all you have to do is copy the downloaded DLL file to the "Effects" folder of Paint.net's installed or portable directory, restart the program if it's already running, as well as access the add-on from the "Effects" menu. It should have a small icon next to it that looks like a piece of puzzle, which marks all Paint.net external plugins.
After loading an image with the object you want to process, you can ask FindEdges Serial to automatically detect the object's edges, as well as tinker with the tolerance.
