LookProject is a free alternative to office suites and powerful diagramming solutions. It can be suitable for some projects, but it offers a very limited set of features and sports an outdated user interface.

While it is probably a bit too simple for some, the application has the advantage of accessible even to very inexperienced users. You don’t need any instructions to figure out how everything works.
Every function can be accessed directly from the main window, so it is not necessary to navigate through multiple menus just to find what you need.
Even though it is novice-friendly, it has to be said that LookProject Serial is a very basic piece of software. A decent array of shapes are included, but you cannot create any new ones or insert media content.
Any shape you add to the diagram can be moved or deleted later, but we could not figure out how to remove lines, so it is important not to make any mistakes.
Once you’ve completed a diagram, you can either save it to a project file that can be edited later or export it to BMP or PDF. We had no issues with saving content to BMP, but the application was not able to export our diagrams to PDF despite multiple attempts.
On the whole, LookProject is a straightforward but very limited diagramming tool. It offers a basic array of features, which may be enough for some projects, but most users will probably find the software to be too restrictive, and the UI is also quite disappointing.
