By default, recording needs to be performed through a dedicated device, such as a microphone. In case you want to capture speaker sound, you need to pay a visit to the system recording devices and switch to stereo mix, because there’s no option inside the application in this regard.
Hitting the record button starts to capture sound in range, building the waveform in real-time. A details field shows the duration, as well as the file size as you’re recording. You can pause, but saving the file is only possible once stopped. Note that the only supported output file type is MP3, and it would have been useful to also see WAV among options.
