Program can copy the screen color to the clipboard in various text formats. You can choose which text format you would like to use. In case you can't find the desired text format, you can create your own color format by selecting the custom format option and entering preferred text format into the combo box.
When typing in your own text format use the following color components:
· #r - red component in decimal format,
· #g - green component in decimal format,
· #b - blue component in decimal format,
· $r - red component in hexadecimal format,
· $g - green component in hexadecimal format,
· $b - blue component in hexadecimal format.
To add your own text format to the list, write it into the combo box and press the + button. To remove one of the existing custom text formats from the combo box list, press the - button.
When color box is activated, pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C will copy screen color in desired format to the clipboard so you can put it in your text or source code by CTRL+V shortcut. If you can't find the desired color on your screen, in Options menu click on the Color button to open the color palette where you can find the desired color and copy it to clipboard.
In the color palette window, you have 16 custom color boxes so you can store the color you want by pressing Add to Custom Colors button and find it there later. If you want to add some screen color to custom color box, you can do that by pressing SHIFT while mouse pointer is over the desired color.
Using the slider in the Options window you can change transparency of the color box that follows the mouse pointer. By pressing the Font button you can change its font. Also, you can change the color of the color box background by clicking on the Color button and choosing the desired color. You can check Use middle mouse button check box if you want to control color selection by pressing middle mouse button (or mouse wheel). If you click on the Defaults button, default settings will be applied.
