Outlook 2003 Add-in: Video Email enables you to send a video reply to e-mail messages you receive in Outlook instead of just typing a few words. Once installed on your system, the addin can be easily accessed from the toolbar. It adds two options in the main window of Outlook, one dedicated to creating a new video message and the other for replying to a received mail with a video recording.
For the addin to work properly, a webcam must be connected to your computer before initializing Outlook. Please note that FireWire digital cameras are not compatible with the Video Email addin.
Furthermore, there are a few applications that are required for the addin to work. Video recording is possible thanks to Microsoft Windows Media Player and DirectX.
Once you press the 'Video Message' button in Outlook's toolbar, you can start recording your message using the connected webcam and send it to your friends or family members via e-mail. You can also add a text in the e-mail body, so as to explain more important aspects in writing.
