The visual design is pretty neat, and doesn’t make it difficult for individuals of any level of experience to get the hang of things. There’s a large animated clock and a progress slider while the counter is active, while the set of controls can slide to be in plain sight or not, and starting the timer hides it.
At its core, the application wants to be a break timer. The interface can display a custom message whenever the counter is active, and when the time is up. Unfortunately, there aren’t really any alerts, in the sense that you can’t have the window brought up when the time expires, nor enable audio alerts.
The counter is configurable only in minutes. This is done in an editable field, but you can also pick from several presets for 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes. Unfortunately, you can’t make it recurrent, just so you count both break and work sessions.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that IconLogic Timer Serial is fitted with better aesthetics than functionality. Although it’s easy enough to set up timers and messages, it’s mostly useful for one-time counters, since it can’t be made recurrent.
