Most kids love drawing and coloring, and if you’re not convinced, just give them a few crayons and watch them go berserk on a piece of paper or on a canvas, cardboard, living room wall and basically any surface you can think of.
In order to temper that sort of urges (and keep your walls clean, while you’re at it), you could consider letting your child draw in a computer app; after all, this is a great way for them to start learning how to use a PC. But while a complex graphic editor (or even a simple but rather unintuitive one, like MS Paint) could be too much for some kids, you could easily find an application that is more appropriate for their age.

Despite its name, KeroSoft FunnyPaint will not make you laugh out loud. It probably won’t amuse your kid that much either, since the annoying sound effects get old pretty soon. It is, however, quite a charming application, and I will be the first to admit that I would have liked to play with it more before writing this review.
But, in a child’s world, time isn’t money, so your kid will have the chance to draw using tools such as pencils, markers, crayons and a fill-bucket. There’s also an eraser tool, but, in case that makes things worse, you can use the undo function as many times as you need.
Apart from the basic tools, your kid can also use a magic wand for adding stickers or a roller for adding colorful patterns. The application also comes with a few templates for coloring or connecting the dots.
Even though the tools behave well and the whole interface is well designed, KeroSoft FunnyPaint Serial is still a bit limited because it doesn’t really offer that many colors, stickers, templates or instruments. It will probably capture your children’s attention for more than a few days, but it doesn’t seem like an app that will keep them invested for a very long time.
