OpenVR2Key is an application that helps you simulate key presses through the inputs from SteamVR. It uses its system to listen to the controller commands and maps that to the keyboard input it then simulates. There are up to 16 ear-tagged key actions for each ear and a total of eight for chords. They are mapped against whatever it is configured inside the application. In order to get started, you first need to go into the SteamVR Settings menu to locate and bind it with OpenVR2Key. The program currently contains Index controller bindings, but it should work with any controllers that are recognized by the input system. You need to select any of the available slots and pick a key in order to bind it. Chords can be added by clicking the Add Chord button in the center. The main application is used mostly for the key mapping. This is accomplished through the list in the bottom half of the window. The row label on the left shows which action is mapped to what key. If you want, you can also use multiple keys for one command. In order to successfully and more than one, you need to press all of them at the same time and then click the button again when you are finished.
