From the main interface, you can select between recording either a video of your screen activities or just audio from your microphone. You can also choose to use your webcam during the recording, and that’s about everything the program does.
While the interface is extremely easy to use, it’s also nothing eye-pleasing. The limited functionalities are also mirrored by the “multitude” of exporting options when it comes to video files (just MP4 and WMA), although you have more formats available for exporting audio.
You could be fooled into believing that the program has helpful hotkeys. Actually, when you press a hotkey for recording new video or audio, you don’t automatically begin a new recording; instead, the interface just pops up, so you still have to click the Record button yourself. Thus the interface will still appear at the beginning of your video.
It’s safe to say that there are free screen recording apps that are designed way better than this one and have more features that are better implemented. That’s why one would expect a lot more from a program that asks you to pay if you want watermarks removed from your videos, or recordings that are longer than three minutes. So, if you need document any screen activity for professional or personal purposes, you’re probably better off looking for applications that are more advanced than Screen Recording Lite; they won’t be hard to find.
