To get started, simply click the extension’s icon in the Chrome toolbar while a website is open. You will be able to choose how often that tab should be refreshed by clicking one of the buttons, and you can also set the exact interval manually.
From now on, the tab will be reloaded automatically, even when Chrome is minimized. A different refresh timer can be set for each tab, and they will only be reset when the tab is closed.
It is possible to set a default reload interval, which will be activated when using the Ctrl+Alt+R or Ctrl+Alt+F5 hotkeys. If you use a specific interval very often, and you need a quicker way to enable it, this feature will be very helpful.
Naturally, it wouldn’t be ideal if the extension reloaded a tab while you were busy doing something on the page. Thankfully, ChromeReloadPlus Serial can reset the timer if key presses or mouse clicks are detected. However, it would have been great if this feature could be disabled.
All in all, ChromeReloadPlus does a great job. It can ensure you don’t miss important updates on websites that don’t refresh content automatically, and it offers a decent amount of customization options while still being very easy to use.
