This extension is lightweight and did not produce crashes, lagging or streaming issues during testing. Also, it did not increase the browser's RAM usage in any noticeable way.
There are many features that this extension has to offer. For example, there's the ability to perform anon chat, blacklist or highlight words and phrases, and even the ability to review recent chat history on chat load, which the base site does not currently offer.
Twitch's basic chat feature is pretty simple and may be unappealing for some of the more whimsical users, so the extension comes with a set of custom chat emoticons, the ability to show or completely remove deleted messages, embedded strawpolls, along with an improved emote menu.
A great quality of life improvement worth mentioning is the chat image link previews on hover that will save you the hassle of accessing new URLs over and over.
One last touch is the ability to switch to a darker theme, which may appeal to the more brooding types out there.
